This past weekend I attended a dinner with a group of friends. We all live in various parts of the state so our chance to get together as a full group is usually limited to once or twice a year, one of which is usually around the holidays. We usually play Secret Santa every year with a date that the person is supposed to have their gift by, but this year someone handed me a gift and said they'd found it on the floor. I couldn't help but laugh at that thought, but the friend assured me that the secret Santa gift was not from her. I decided to wait until I got home to open the package, but the second I walked in the door, the first thing I did was sit down on the sofa and open the gift.

When I opened the box, there was a letter, written as though it were from Santa himself. It talked about how he is busy during the holidays and one of his favorite things to do was fill a tub full of water and add some bubble bath. He said that the bubble bath helps him relax, plus gives him a little time away from the hustle and bustle of the elves. After he finishes using the bubble bath and soaking in the tub, he said he wants to make sure that his skin stays hydrated so he uses skin creams to make sure that it does.

From there he mentions that he pours himself a cup of chocolate and puts his feet up with a pair of his favorite slippers. I loved the letter, and it asked me to open the gifts by number, so when I opened package number one I found some bubble bath and skin creams. Package two contained hot chocolate mix and package three contained some slippers. I loved the idea. In the last package was the name of the person who the gifts were from, and I couldn't wait until morning, so I called right then.

At first my friend acted as though she didn't know what I was talking about, bubble bath, skin creams and slippers. She said I must have the wrong person, and then she finally confessed after I mentioned that she had put her name inside the package. I told her that I love bubble bath and skin creams and that it was a fantastic gift idea and that I thought I may borrow the idea myself. She gave me her blessings.
