hair careWhat some people call hair care I think amounts to hair torture. I want my hair to be soft, manageable and healthy. So long as my hair complies with those three criteria I don’t really worry too much about it. My hair care routine comprises of regular washing with shampoo and conditioner and the use of a serum to stop it going frizzy. I occasionally use hair spray, especially if I wear my hair up. When I am going out for the evening I will blow dry my hair to maximize the curls but it isn’t something I do every day. I have my hair trimmed regularly to get rid of any split ends. That is about the extent of my hair care routine.
I have noticed that some women’s ‘hair care’ routines are a lot harsher than mine. Some women color their hair every six weeks and choose a shade requires extensive use of peroxide because it is much lighter than their natural tone.  Other women use a straightening iron on their hair on a daily basis and I cringe to think of the damage they do by applying so much heat. Then there are those women who never have a hair out of place but their romantic partner could never run his fingers through it because it is stiff from using an excessive amount of product. I will never take my hair care routine to such extremes. In the end I am more concerned with how my hair feels than how it looks.
