If you are a person that suffers from overly dry skin, the normal skin creams are not going to help you much. Most of the skin creams you find at the store last for a few hours at most. What you need is skin creams that create a build up effect. This means that the hydration you get today from these skin creams will remain for the day and be added to the next day’s treatment. To accomplish this, you will need to look for skin creams that contain more than just the usual moisturizers. During your skin creams hunt, you want to keep an eye on natural products that contain ingredients like avocado oil, shea butter or jojoba oil. All of these natural substances are very similar to the oils our bodies produce and are highly effective for dry skin because they are easily absorbed so that they are able to get down into the tissues where they nourish the skin, giving it the ability to increase its own production of moisturizing oils as well as collagen and elastin. Since you have overly dry skin, you might also want to stay away from skin creams that include fragrance perfumes since most of the time they contain alcohol which will dry your skin a bit more. The exception, of course, is if the fragrance perfumes come from natural oils.
